McCabe Reeds interest in the electronic scene began in Portland Oregon in 99'. There he saw many talented dj's/producers play at some of Portlands finest shows, which were brought on by pioneers of the scene. After some time behind the scenes of the shows working with the promoters, he soon discovered where most of his interest was centering on - the music! McCabe then bought his first pair of tables and began to learn how to mix with one of Portland's "big bass line DJ's", Nick Dubbz. With help from local DJ Wiggles, McCabe soon played his first show in Washington as Fourkorse. Eight years down the road he has played out around the region at various events and has promoted his own shows and club nights. Recently, his musical style has changed from Hard to a mix of Electro, House ,Breaks, and Peak Hour. With almost a decade of mixing experience, McCabe is sure to bring the funky sound to the dance floor that you're looking for. Not only is this man a talented DJ, he is the founder of Tekno Species Recordings. He is now spending most of his spare time in the studio and is in the process of working on his own sound, "something that I'm just not hearing, and it needs to be done"(-McCabe Reed). Other new projects in the works include; Tekno Species Recordings and Telemetry Productions will be releasing new sounds in the near future and Gnostic Entertainment and Tekno Species team up for a peak hour mayhem duo called "The Funk Collective".... stay tuned for what is soon to come!
