Biography
I have been making music for as long as I can remember from the days spent playing my guitar as a young child to playing in bands at school and college.
For the last 10 years I have made electronic-based music and in 2003 Microburst was created, combining aspects of trip hop, electronica, found sounds and experimental noise and effects. Although my music is electronic I try to incorporate a 'live feeling' aspect to each song whether it be through the way that the drums are programmed or a string arrangement or guitar. I use no sampled loops, everything is either programmed, played, scored or recorded by myself.
Although I very much like vocal music, all my tunes so far are instrumental; I feel that the sounds and instruments can speak more than words, as Heinrich Heine said "When words leave off, music begins".
I find inspiration from many things; Music, art, people, film, travel, the sports I do and the many sounds and noise that exist everyday within our environment.
2007 is looking to be an exciting year with various live shows, collaborations, a new website and something in the pipeline which shall be posted in the coming weeks, so watch this space!
