Today is Thursday November 6, 2008 - a very special day indeed.

A day unlike any other. Surprisingly, given recent world events, today has nothing to do with Barack Obama

Today, my mix site clocked it’s 2,000th download, (and 3,134th play) and still counting. I admit, that by itself, this is not a big deal. (especially since others have more than 6 times that amount of downloads here). But then, I think about a time when I was much younger, and how I used to make copies of my mixes on what were at the time very high quality (metal and chromium) cassette tapes back in the day. Then years later making copies of mixes using a dedicated Philips CDs burner (lol what a big steamin pile that was recorder was). Then finaly making copies using Mini Discs much later on. It is then that I’m fascinated and amazed by the fact that this site has in a very short period of time, afforded me the opportunity to share my mixes with more people than I would’ve been able to in an entire lifetime using those outdated ways, and for this I’m very grateful.

I’m looking forward to uploading some new mixes soon as well as some more vintage ones. Here’s to the next 2000 downloads!!
